It’s week two of training, with teeny tiny. Things, honestly, couldn’t be going better.

I’ve walked 20 miles, so far. We’ve been getting established with local routes, and going over all the necessary skills I’ll need to keep teeny tiny happy and healthy.

I’ve had some lovely feedback, from my guide dog instructor as well as other instructors and guide dog health advisers. I can feel our bond developing. Being guided by her feels great, but most of all I can tell she loves it.

We went to a fund raising event for Guide Dogs (where more than £1200 was raised) teeny tiny not only guided me flawlessly, but she behaved like an angel. I was very proud.

We ended the week with a lovely walk round a lake, and then a bath for teeny tiny who got very very muddy.

Next week is more training, and the first time teeny tiny will get to come with me to the hospital where I was an in-patient. It’ll be interesting to take her into the therapy groups! We also plan on taking her bowling. This is something I’m hoping she’ll come accustom to, for obvious reasons. We will practise bus travel amongst other things.

There are some other exciting things going on behind the scenes and generally things are good right now.
